After trying a new Persian recipe for rosewater saffron rice, I decided to make a cake that would incorporate all of the spices from the dish. The rosewater cake base contains the following spices: clove, nutmeg, cardamom, a little allspice, safflower petals, and cinnamon.
Rosewater Spice Cake with Safflower Petals
Covered with a layer of Almond Cream Frosting and decorated with Cherry and Vanilla Buttercream
